A couple of tracks spliced together and filmed from the front row. First time I'd seen them live. Enjoyed it but don't think I need to see them again! Thanks to info provided by YouTubers, I can now confirm, nine months later, the tracks are HOT CAKE and GREENWAY.

  • The song is called Greenway

  • @stevenuuu1212 Great, thank you. When I uploaded this it didn't have a name that anyone knew. Think I might go and edit the info now.

  • This is superb!

What are the tracks called ?

  • @StormOneUK I'm not a Fall fan but I know that the first track title has something to do with cake (!) and the second is a new one which might not even have an official name yet.

  • " First time I'd seen them live. Enjoyed it but don't think I need to see them again!" - You are so wrong - one of the most unpredictable and occasionally brilliant live bands going. Once is never enough...

  • @fieryjack17 I guess it's different if you're a fan. I'm just one of those people who doesn't really get Mark E Smith. It's not that I don't understand him, it's that I don't understand why he's so revered. I know he IS revered, though. Still, at least I got a new song filmed, eh? (Yeah, I tracked down all the views to the Fall forums).

  • The Fall seem to have fanatics or haters ( I'm in the fanatics league myself lol)I think Mark E is a total genius..

  • @GuildfordGhost Oh no worries!!

  • I'm a Fall fan, but understand those who don't get it - Smith is a one-off whose whole persona and attitude to stage performance is anti-rock: it's like Peel said when he saw them first - 'the room was crackling with malevolence' (I think); not that The Fall are malevolent, but they are no-nonsense, anti-pose of any sort. Some love it - like me. And the second tune here is great - especially his growl. Not many people 'individuate' themselves, but he has - outside of conventional form.

  • Yes - first 'Hot Cake' (from new album), second new and untitled as far as I know.
