From Souvenir of Tokyo. Part 5/5. That's all of it, I hope you all enjoyed it. Yoko Kanno is awesome! :D

"the songs are, in order: the singing sea (same melody used in cosmos, and stella by moor); piano black; ELM; green bird; and piano bar (modified)," - Thanks for song titles Marty256.

  • Fun fact : when the directors of Cowboy Bebop received the music, it was completely off to what they already produced and animated. But rather than firing Yoko and asking someone else to do the music, they decided to start fresh and remake everything according to Yoko's tune.

Thumbs up if you're glad they didn't fired her !

  • gotta say Bebop wouldnt be what it is without the music

  • Thank you very much for uploading, thank you.

  • 4:00 gives me tingles everytime.

  • @paresseuxenrage THEY DIDN'T FIRED HER

  • @Cervan I admit. Haruhi has always been nicely animated. It is by no means a bad anime. It's just that (imho) it seems to cater to a certain kind audience, the extreme otakus.

Bebop, on the other hand, is on a another plane altogether. It transcends anime.

  • @anadus7 Wtf.. saying that Haruhi was a bad anime is blasphemous! the movie has some of THE best anime OSTs ive ever seen comparable to Darker than black and wolfs rain! not to mention the animation in the movie was ASTOUNDING let alone the PLOT!. Please, piss off

  • @Kougeru

I read it in an interview with Shin'ichiro Watanabe which was about the music and directing process, so i'm basically just quoting the guy.

Also, if they asked Kanno to change its music, we wouldn't have now what we know as Bebop. In that case it doesn't really make a difference who makes the music.

  • @paresseuxenrage Completely untrue lol. Bebop is based off other material, and follows it quite well. Also she was already a well known composer before hand..they wouldnt fire her.

  • Keanu Reeves sort of worked in a Shinichiro Watanabe production. Remeber Kid's Story in The Animatrix, it was directed Watanabe and Reeves provided his voice in the english dub.

  • I used to love animes. All kinds of random anime. Gundam Love Hina Bleach Naruto even Haruhi (cringe).

Then I watched Cowboy Bebop. After that, somehow, animes just dont quite cut it anymore. In fact, you could say that I 'grew up' after finishing Bebop.
