Air Breeze: very quiet small wind turbine

I just bought one of these too. I plan on buying a big sailboat very soon, but for now I set it up in my back yard to test it and see how it compliments my solar panels. So far, I think it's worth the money! Power output is exactly what the company says it will do. Just for God's sake install the "optional" kill switch that they sell!!! Trying to stop it by hand in 15mph wind will make you think about upgrading your medical insurance!

The Air Breeze is awesome! I got one to supplement my PV (solar) system to power the lights in the house. Now I bought two more to create yet another wind/solar hybrid system to power the appliances (TV, fridge, washing machine). It works beautifully in low wind, much better than the Air X. Remember that solar and wind complement each other - when it's cloudy, it's usually windy.

someone can tell me what is the TSR of ARIX?
What is the TSR of air breeze?
are curious to see how they have changed the blades

I had two of these on my sailboat and I second the kill switch suggestion. They worked very well but if wind kicks up quickly be ready for a racket before you flick the kill switch.

That wind turbine is like the air x 400!

The US uses 3.3 terriwatts of power. How many terriwatts of power could I buy for $819 billlion?

The fresnel lens is great for heating things up, but for it to generate steam and have a genetator that would convert the steam into power would be very sophesticated to do commercially. I'm in the R-E business and I think it's a little too early for this to hit the market. Now as for a home kit, that's a different story. But I love renewable energy and I hope it does come out sooner than later.

Have you seen the Fresnel lens/steam generator setup?
Supposed to be marketed early 09. I want one for my house.
