Only the exterior shots were filmed here. If you check out the house you can see that it doesn't look the same. That is because a facade was built so that Regan's bedroom window was directly over the stairs. The real house is set back from the stairway.
The interiors were shot on a sound stage in New York City. Not in George Town, or the George town house.

You should visit the actual house in Bel-Nor, St. Louis Missouri that the real exorcism was based off of.
