This is an in depth review of this unbranded cheap chinese MP4 player.

4 GB for $25

Here's a link to where I bought it: http://priceangels.com/5th_Generation_2.2-Inch_LCD_TFT_Video_Photo_Built-in_C...

You search for it on other sites using the keywords 2.2, MP4, and camera.

  • Do you have any idea how to open it?, I think it can be modded to fix the FM antenna issue.

  • @Rob85AK Um, I suppose you could try just opening it like a normal iPod, but... Chances are you'd break it.

  • Is it real 4GB or fake "upgraded" 2GB memory?

    Thanks,

  • @ipunishl3av0r It's real.

  • Can you tell me what is the firmware version? (12:37)

    Thanks!

  • @gialappass It says it's firmware is 13.00.10.1020.090828, please note this firmware is irrelevant to Apple's official iPod firmware.

  • I have 5 of these that I got from Hing Kong, They actually say Ipod on them, but they are clones. The only thing I don't like is it wont work with Itunes, but I can download from my computer as many songs as I like. It has 8GB of storage and it does exactly what an ipod does. It has FM and you can record FM stereo. I love mine.

  • Yo dude My Mp4 is stuck in the playlist generating screen... what does that mean, how do i get out of this screen?

  • Dude I crapped when I saw that you have Abandon All Ships - Take One Last Breath on your.. Err.. Fake iPod. That`s my favorite song.

But anyways, fantastic review, not the best video quality but atleast I could see the detailed flaws of this MP4.

  • @Agret

It has a couple of screws at the bottom of it under a plastic sheet which is removed with a flat screwdriver, it's a single piece which you have to pull out from the top after removing the screws.

  • @Rob85AK how did you open it

  • @SchFilms Ok, I could open it, and I soldered a cable to the antenna and now the FM works like charm, it has a couple of screws at the bottom of it and it's a single piece which you have to pull out from the top after removing the screws, the antenna is a tiny cilinder with cupper (or so) on the left at the left of the battery. ;)
