Travel back in time at the Timewalk and Brewery Days attraction! Following in the footsteps of Miss Paws the brewery cat and her feline ancestors, the award-winning attraction takes visitors on an unforgettable voyage to experience the sights, sounds and smells of six hundred years of Weymouth and Portland's fascinating past.
Upon entering the musty office of the brewery archivist, the hands of the old clock begin to whirl backwards, turning back time to the 14th century when the Black Death swept through the town. A total of nineteen life-size scenes recreate the history of the area including sailmakers preparing for the arrival of the Spanish Armada, shady Moonfleet smugglers on the lookout for the Revenue Men, and even members of Royalty enjoying the splendour of a Georgian Ballroom.
The journey continues into the original Victorian brewhouse where the newly redeveloped Brewery Days attraction explores Hope Square's unique brewing heritage from 1821 through to the present day. A new interactive family gallery takes a light-hearted look at the brewing process, while an audio-visual presentation tells the story of the once-thriving Devenish brewery. This visit concludes in the Victorian-style "Drum & Dancer" Tastings Bar with the opportunity to sample one of the award-winning real ales brewed on site by The Quay Brewery.

I see the Weymouth Museum will be coming back to the Brewers Quay building once it re-opens ( with flats and a few small shops) but does anyone know what will become of the Timewalk or its contents? I have looked on many sites including Weymouth Council but it seems to have gone totally off radar.

I always love going into Brewers Quay and maybe go through the time walk, something Ive done since my parents took me when I was young and used to be absolutely scared of. I went to Weymouth yesterday for a day out and went to go into Brewers Quay to find its closed for reinvention and wouldnt be open again till late 2012, I was worried that they'll change the Time Walk so as soon as I got home I read that they've axed it altogether! I dont understand why, its brilliant.

I went there when I was small. I love the part where you press a button and a dancing sack pops out of a barrul and starts talking.
