  • What's the song?

  • @Cloudz2789 It's battle theme (against doppelganger) from Ragnarok Battle Offline. And where did you hear the voice to call it a song?

  • @UniverseStar Ah cheers mate :) Thought I recognised it from somewhere...

  • @DemonStudiosLtd yeah, exactly:3 I'm glad you remember. I subscribed to both of your channels on Twitter and Youtube to stay in touch. Yeah, all this anti-aliased graphics and shiny effects completely kill the nostalgic feeling. Old amiga graphics look alot more attractive for me, I adore pixels. You definitely need to remake this game for online-play:3 BTW I already decided on my future job, I'll be translating / localizing videogames in Russia. I think can give you a hand if you ever need it=)

  • @UniverseStar I remember yes, Simon isn't it? I did get Gravity Crash but while it's a great game didn't have that same physics feel and pixel-perfect collision detection that Gravity Force had (which I tried to replicate for Gravitation). No Thrust type game has ever bettered Gravity Force (by Kingsoft on the Amiga) in my opinion. I will have another go one day though :)

  • @DemonStudiosLtd Oh, wow. I didn't recognize you =) I thought you worked with him, but didn't think it _was_ you, heh :3 I'm the very student from Russia that wrote you on codemasters forum several years ago (maybe you remember, maybe not), and you sent me the source of this game. I wanted to contact you again but forgot my login and password. I wanted to tell you that there was another similar game under development for PSP and PS3 (called Gravity Crash). Did you know about that?

  • @DemonStudiosLtd one reason I didn't do a version of Gravitation for iOS is the name was already taken. I wanted to create a 100% original game nobody has thought of and came up with Lead Wars (so as to not make a blatant rip-off of another game like Grav was and indeed most of the App Store!). Anyhoo, follow me on Twitter @DemonStudios or see my channel to keep up with what I'm up to :)

  • @UniverseStar I do yes, in that I am Jim (said creator of Gravitation) :) I guess my previous comment doesn't make much sense unless you realised that from what I was saying (I had said this but had to edit the comment down to fit). I've toyed with the idea of making an iOS update of Grav - with enough demand I would do. A PSVita version might be the best platform as this sort of game doesn't work too well on a touch-screen.

  • @DemonStudiosLtd Oh, you say you worked at codemasters? Then you probably know Jim too? =p

  • This game was indeed created as a homage to the brilliant Gravity Force on the Amiga. I loved that game. If Gravitation had made any money I would have gladly given Kingsoft / Stephan Wenzler royalties. I just created it on the Net Yaroze as a home-brew exercise to teach myself PlayStation programming to get a job in game development. Luckily it got on the OPSM coverdisk. I worked at Codemasters for 11 years and recently founded DemonStudios on my own. Mmm, a remake is always a possibility. :)
