Chicago isn't the only haunted city in Illinois. Here are ten of the most haunted locales.

1. Archer Woods Cemetery, Chicago: (Apparently home to the translucent white form of a sobbing female who materializes when you exit the gate at night.)

2. St Marys Cemetery, Lake Forest: Towards the back of the cemetery, the grave of a boy named Dameon is host to the spectre of a small child.)

3. Blood's Point, Belvedere: (High concentration of orbs, strange noises, apparitions, and electrical phenomena in and around the entire cemetery area.)

4. Lincoln Theater, Belleville: (Three entities, one in projection booth, one in basement, and one in stage.)

5. Lovejoy Monument Cemetery, Alton: (The ghost of a small girl who plays 'hide and seek' in the graveyard, along with the ghost of Elijah Lovejoy around his monument. Cold spots too.)

6. Mt Olivet Cemetery, Aurora: (Women in 1950s period dress are seen often in the cemetery with a 1958 Lincoln Continental, all which disappear upon sighting.)

7. St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wadsworth: (Various apparitions and cult activity around cemetery.)

8. Ryder's Woods, Woodstock: (Several apparitions and strange sounds of children near pond in woods.)

9. Baughman Cemetery, Minonk: Various orbs, apparitions, noises, and electrical phenomena throughout the cemetery. One spectre is of a smoking man near the center of the yard.)

10. St. Omer Cemetery, Ashmore: (The large ball shaped gravestone is said to be of a witch, the stone glowing and photographs often failing in this area.)

Ok, here is my necl of the woods. Lol these are my haunted places. Been to all of them. Alton is pretty haunted, a friend went to school near there and so many places there have a creepy vibe. I like that you point out that Chicago isn't the only haunted place in the state.

@jbushue65 omg!!!!! one night i went to the ramsey cemetery in Effingham and it was a cold night there this was like at 10:00 P.M the more i walked closer the more it got colder!!!!! it was creepy... but i also heard that there caves i never seen the caves do you know where there at? If so do you know where there at? because I'm suppossed to go invistigate there!!!!!!!!! so if you know PLEASE let me know Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
