  • yooo..i just tried calling you. You didn't pick up! :o(

    nice tank btw...

  • @fauxhawkid Me, Not sure if I gave you my number. Are you sure it was me? Hit me up on private message. Thanks for the compliment.

  • @newyorksteelo haha...no it was a joke. I was watching your video and there was a phone ringing in the back! :o) Nonetheless awesome tank man! Btw...i have a 50 gallon 90cm tank...what lighting do you prefer? I want to have corals in it as well. I was looking at the aquaticlife T5 HO lighting and i see you have a video for that too...how is it coming along? If my tank is 90cm that means i have to purchase the 36'' right?

  • @fauxhawkid Haaa lol, Stupid me I got the joke late. The fixture you mentioned will work well for most any corals, and yes, I had the 36 inch one. Good luck.

  • Hey newyorksteelo! I love your vids, they are very helpful to me, as I am about 7 months in to fish only saltwater and would like to go reef, but I have a question, I am going to make a sump/refugium for my 55 gal and I am going to add a deep sand bed to my refugium, but what else do I put in it?

  • @SHMIBLY Everything that you need to know is found on the video my friend. In this video, a lot of the equipment used is explained and in the other 3 parts of this video, the set up is explained even further. You may also want to take a look at my rebuild process where it is described in more detail. Good luck :)

  • @Sisco296 Its due to lack of strong water movement in that area. I have solved that by adding a small pump there.

  • I have basically the same setup as you have and I am also getting that skum on the last section! I think it has something to do with the TREMENDOUS amount of micro bubbles from the standpipe and the skimmer in the first section? So you say a good idea is to get another powerhead for circulation! I will definitely do that! Have a good day! Hope your doing excellent sir! Hope a new vid comes out soon! Ciao

  • @Sisco296 No buddy cause if you slowed down the flow, you are defeating the purpose of the proper flow through rate. You needed to properly setup the durso standpipe ad I instructed earlier. How come I have a mag drive 18, with 1,800 gph flow and I dont have this issue? Thats what the durso standpipe was made for :)

  • Hey Steelo! How are you doing bro? Well, I got my sump to stop all that sucking and the water level inside the overflow box fluctuating have now be rectified! The problem was that there was too much flow going down the drain pipe! I restricted it with a ball valve and all is well in Canada once again! woohoo! Just thought I'd let you know in case you come across that issue once again! Have a good day! Ciao.
