@Melidian1 Maybe they didn't make it big because of Schenker, as Scorpions made it big without him. Schenker is an outstanding musician, but let's be honest, he was quite a problem for bands back in the 70's and 80's

UFO were/are a great band. They dont get their just due here in the USA. Same with Rory Gallagher. Makes no sense.

Their first 4 studio albums were the best. They got the right sound.

UFO is one of my all-time favorite bands. Why these guys never made it big in the USA, I will never know. They had some great music - both with and without Micheal Schenker in the lineup. I really enjoyed the Mechanix and Making Contact recordings. Paul Chapman isn't Schekner but is still an outstanding musician in his own. I wish the heck they'd tour the USA - I'd LOVE to see them. Phil Mogg and Pete Way are the heart and soul of UFO, no matter who the guitarists are. Keep rocking, guys!!
