Umeå is a main town in Umeå municipality and county seat of Västerbotten County. Since Umeå has very long and cold winter, it is easy to enjoy all the winter delights and activities. Umeå is Sweden's 12th largest city with about 100 000 inhabitants and is thus Norrland's largest city. Since the 1980s, Umeå also increasingly profile itself as a cultural center , and was appointed in September 2009 as European Capital of Culture in 2014.

In Umeå, we have LARGE headlights that are attached to the front of our cars because it gets dark real early in the winter. Other than that, its real beautiful in Umeå in winter. Thats why I love it better than Stockholm. :)

@Swedelady I had already visited Goteborg, Trollhattan, Stockholm, Umea and Lulea:-) I am now studying for a truck driving licence (cat B, C, and C+E) and after that I try to find a job up there:-)
