On parts like 0:15 to 0:40... is Brent using down strokes with the thumb pick and up strokes with his finger(s)... OR is he using down strokes with the thumb pick and some up strokes with the thumb pick too?

I know that lots of the upstrokes are with his fingers... but are some of them with the thumb pick too?

Joe Hudson is my guitar teacher. Which is a real good thing for me. Since i met joe I have met paul yandell and tommy emmanuel in person. Shook both their hands. Was there to see Brent play as well.

@CAGED1702 Though you are 100% correct about the pinky, I had heard that Mr. Hudson had cut his left hand earlier that day, and was possibly talking about not playing that evening at all. Not sure, but may be the reason he did not use it? I have seen him at other events playing Thumbstyle, and using it as he should. Was lucky enough to see this show, and one word - speechless...
