  • Ah... An SKR recording on Youtube! It would have been nice to see video, but even audio utterly brings me to tears. I've had the pleasure of playing pakhavadhyam on violin for him before, and hearing this just makes me realize how much I miss his very presence.

There is a huge hole left behind in Carnatic music with his passing, and nobody exists who can come close to filling it. The man was the great bastion of progress and theoretical exploration while still greatening bhavam and vidwath.

  • simply legendary stuff....

  • Lord Muruga will bless NSC and SKR for this superb song! We can only stand with tears and applaud!

  • The more I listen the more I envy all of you who enjoyed his music time and again. My father tells me that he is such a genius that he can correct his guru if there is any reason for it.

My day starts with one hearing of his singing.

  • yes very much,,,,,,,,,,,,Mind Blowing SOukhyam:)

  • Is he the same Kalyanaraman who was disciple of Sri GNB?

  • Every night before going to bed I listen to songs like this. It makes me forget about the daily chores and worries and takes me to a peaceful place. He did not get enough credit for his ability to bring forth the beauty of the ragam in few phrases.

  • He was a genius. He has indeed left a huge hole. His music intrigues the mind and plucks the heart-strings. I had the privilege of learning from him in person for 2 beautiful months in 1990/91. He was an amazing (and tough) teacher, performer, scholar.

  • awesome!!

  • Thanks 1000 times......thank you so much

  • Heavenly! TSK must belong there only!

  • simply superb. no words to describe.thanks
