"Because of the nature of my husband's job, it was unsure if he was going to get R&R leave at all. When he called to say he was, we thought it best not to tell the kids in case something changed. We were going to the airport to pick up my mother-in-law, but the kids had no idea their favorite person in the world was also there. After their surprise, my husband also surprised his mom. She was flying in to visit my children and had no clue that he had been given R&R. It was great to watch her get her arms around her son!"
