It's not a fuse like everyone is saying if it were the light wouldn't even flicker or come on at all where the wires plug into the ballast there must be a short that's wat mine did
-
my Dakota is doing that too....

how about you not buy a cheap ass hid kit like this and if that doesnt work get a relay harness. Im a hid sales rep and people have brought me these kinds of problems before and a relay harness will solve that.
-
if you bought them from HIDkk.com
you wouldn't have this problem haha
-
Chinese products sucks big time.
-
its your fuse buddy.
-
@superchargerv12 as long as u dont have them on highbeams lol

actually they are illegal, the thing that makes them not illegal is if you have projectors built in to your vehicle.
What year is your Dakota. Most newer ones will need a relay harness to work properly. And yes some states are cracking down on illegal kits, but do your research and get it right the first time and you will be very happy. I did find out that in Ms anything over 8k is highly illegal no matter what color it shows. Check your local laws and have fun.

@MegaMouseSEC its a '99. this vid was uploaded in 2008. the second vid shows em working right. they failed again several months later and i pulled em out and replaced with silverstar ultra halogens. They were a cheapo ebay set. had i known better, i would've spent more on a better digital set -- probably bi-xenon in some projector lenses. Maybe on a future truck, because i definately miss the extra light output. I didnt do my research, and once again proved "you get what you pay for"...

is this a dodge dakota?
and no HID is actually 100% legal and safer for night driving, however, some color temperatures are illegal ie. green, iceberg blue, purple and so on.

yep, dodge dakota. supposedly, non OEM HID's are illegal and some states are cracking down, but I haven't ever been bothered. Almost every other car seems to have them now.
