@cangong I am "lightened up", Im just appalled at all the comments about what Summer decided to wear, when this band isn't about the image. And most of what you're into is cool. Id say Thin Lizzy is more hard rock and not metal though. Mountain as well.

@beserker1912 Are you on crack? lighten up! are you Summer's new clothing designer? surely he met a new lover at a trendy fest, and she/he told him'oh, you'd look great with an '86 scott baio haircut!' and it's off to the barbershop..hey, i'ma baroness fan. read my amazon reviews for both lps- i go by the name 'krautrockfreak'. maybe i'm not really a metal dude. cool heavy, to me, is budge, sabbath, mountain, COC, kylesa. my faves: can, hendrix, thin lizzy, k. vile: is that metal?

@cangong What doesn't make sense is that you classify Baroness and Linkin Park together. If you want super heavy, go listen to Machine Heads album Unto the Locust or Gojira's The way of all flesh. Those are really good and heavy albums, but baroness is not, nor has ever been that kind of band. Not every band that has the term metal in their genre has to be the same. And Summers hipster look, it shouldn't matter, shut the hell up talking about how he dresses and listen to the music. Shit people.

@beserker1912 I know! i did it jokingly and therefore apologize for wasting readers' time (i'm serious)... i will say this, though: it was a response to the other fella, we were talking about the bassist's 'hipsterish' new look. however, it strikes me as very weird that some 'heavy' music is becoming this postmodern beachboyswith distortionandproggysegments thing. then again, i'm too old and stuff like linkin park is beyond my jurisdiction. still not making sense, am i? oh but i am

Wow! True haha! it is he of the former long braids and crustpunk patches. thanks for pointing it out. I admit that my prejudice won this time around. i do like baroness, though in this video i hear some stuff i don't recognize, and it kinda sounds like singalong disneyland music. i don't care how musicians look, as long as they dig what they're doing. but i never thought that the beastie boys video for sabotage would make such a lasting impression. talk about looking like a Tarantino reject he.
