What ever happened to Smokey the Bear? There is no education about safety in the woods like back a couple of decades ago. Also we live with a generation that demands respect but gives none. If respect for every thing and every body were taught and practiced there would not have to be fire bans.

basically if u are into bushcraft, you are into something illegal
don't get me wrong , i think it is a very good thing they are trying to preserve the bit of forest we still got, but by forbidding its use we are getting nowhere
ppl need to learn how to use the land in a natural way and learn to respect the plants and animals thát way
by simply forbidding anything but a basic hiking trail hike, u'll only alienate the ppl further from nature

Hope I am not being ignorant, but why is it an 'amazing' candle? Does it last longer than a typical 120 hour emergency candle?

Good job on the emergency candle. I made one in Scouts years ago. ?They are a great addition to any hiking kit. Thanks for sharing.
