I wish they kept that effect with the echoey voices. The beginning "H-------hush! And shush!" sounded like she hadn't used her voice in a long time, and made it creepier.

This is much better and scarier without music.

@cullenpartyanimal The other mother, as you might know is the villain, is a spider/witch. She can only eat children (and bugs, of course). Once buttons are sewn into your eyes you can't go back to the real world, and the other mother has eaten them. She has forgotten about them and left them to live on a life of darkness and sorrow behind the mirror. They are warning Coraline she can't stay or she'll become one of them.

Anyone else think Coraline looks like Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 3. Maybe it's her hair, and her personality. Though she is a bit more feisty, and not as brilliant as other kids. I think Jill was probably the same way as well as a child. This has also been proven in the games lol. And it's maybe because she likes to wear that police/ military hat, which also could be a reference to Jill Valentine, since Jill is also a tomboy, and likes law enforcement.
