@dfit18 ok, cheers for that, i feel better about my decision now. I thought the same thing, awesome enough laptop with an great video card as it is, connection it to a monitor thats bigger in size already...that will work just fine! Cheers man!

@dfit18 update on friday my extra battery came in and i even talked to my dell rep about the order with no contact name on the order and and i was a little worried but no biggy it was all staritend out and the rep told me in the morning that they just shiped my Laptop out so i should see it on Tuesday or Wednsday the latest , so it only took them 4 to 5 days to build it not bad :)

well i just ordered myn and tomorrow morning i gota phone my Dell rep i gota change 3 things on my XPS 17 , Battery to a 9 cell , 1080p screen and the video card for better graphics

I gotta ask how your liking the non full HD screen. I ordered mine without the full HD screen...im seeing a lot of posts about people saying they strongly recommend the upgrade...but...it does increase the cost...also i will be using an external monitor...so what do you think? Full HD or can we live with the standard 900p display it comes with? cheers

@TheSmokingAndroid thanks for the reply. i honestly don't mind the standard screen on it. the HD is just a luxury that I didn't feel was necessary at the moment. and if you are going to use a monitor than I think you should be find with the standard screen.

What resolution screen do you have? Would you recommend getting the Full HD?

@StaticAlpha1 I think mine is 900x600 but don't quote me on it. If you have the option to get the full HD I would.
