Brian Krause plays James Murphy, a cigarillo-smoking cryptozoologist,who is on the hunt for the Loch Ness Monster (a 60 foot prehistoric reptile) that killed his father years ago. He is a man driven to find the creature after having had a near fatal encounter with 'Nessie' when he was only 12 witnessing the horror of his father's death, before it disappeared without a trace from the Loch Ness in Scotland leaving a parmenent scar on his face.

In this scene, James(Brian Krause) quietly works in his caravan when he gets an unexpected vist by the town Sheriff. After having some small talk the Sheriff warns James to stay away from her son, Josh Riley who has been helping him out on the lake being his quide. The next day he confronts Josh about his mother's warning & asks for a new quide but Josh insists that there's no problem he will be James'guide. Afterwards, while riding out on the lake James finds a dead baby of the Loch ness monster on a shore. The cop just arrives but in the meantime, he quickly goes on & cuts the head of the lil' creature before the cops can even reach it, & then rides away with it. Later, he gets arrested by the town Sherrif for violating the rules of taking the head of the creature & taking Josh out on the lake as his guide again!
