  • Oh My God.... I used to love this song. This is why I love YouTube. Is there anything you cannot find on here??? Takes me back to being 18 all over again. Thanks for posting, it really made my day.

  • Stan Campbell, my favourite album, How heartbreaking for such a talented young man - I wish I could visit him wherever he is. Such pain & sorrow for one so gifted & handsome

  • @TheEbonyLounge It's hard to say whether he was guilty of any crime as I don't have the facts to judge with. I do know that the very power and resonance of his voice was a threat in modern society and I can think of one artist in America who was targeted similarly. Tupac Shakur was brought up on fake sex charges and imprisoned not long before his death.

  • @ldolphin34

he burned bright twice. he's the lead singer on Special AKA album In The Studio....

  • Many folks compare him to Terrence Trent D'arby but Stan has one of the purest voices ever.....

    If Only.........

  • Stan Campbell gave us a timeless masterpiece. I had this album on cassette tape for many, if not all, of my college years at Berkeley. I always felt that he didn't get enough pub in the states precisely because he was a young, talented, foreign black man singing songs like Strange Fruit that resonated with your soul. I've always wished for a follow up to one of the greatest soul albums of all time. It's sad what's happened to him and his victim, but for a moment, he transcended music itself..

  • this guy is completely forgotten now but still one of my favorite singers of all time. and the art of writing a good, simple song vanished too. the 80's were good times.

  • so sad to hear wehat a waist
