  • This guy really knew how to play Beethoven! I've not heard better.

  • Few project the inner coherence of Beethoven sonata's as does Kempff. One just senses the logical and correct placement of every note and phrase - no affectation or false bravado.

  • @Evilemporerbunny hello, william did not compose this you &$@&$&)(;//)$&?!&?

  • 这是“神曲”V3的原版么……

  • Kempfs*

  • I prefer Freddy Kempffs, but very well played.

  • No dislikes. Oh, yes.

  • I've listened to Kempff's complete cycle and would compare it favorably to his approach to the Schubert sonata cycle - small scale; he was never one to show speed and bravura for the sake, much akin to that of Backhaus. Then there are the titans who abound in technique, such as Richter, Cziffra and Schnabel...

  • @mylife1221 ... I meant Kempff... I thought it was Serkin -.-

  • WOW! Serkin is amazing!

  • This is my first time listening to this sonata and most of the time I could never tell what not was going to be next, he kept surprising me.

  • @TheEvilEmporerBunny I liked him better when he was alive.
