I had this kit as a kid. I added an extra transistor to the underside of the kit and could hook up a speaker in place of the earpiece and it was loud!
Very cool. I had something similar as a kid. It was a crystal AM radio kit. I really had a kick putting it together myself. Being able to use it to listen to stations in the area without a power source amazed me at the time...still does, even. Thanks for sharing this video.
hiya ive seen these types of kits before but not that one i think it needs a g5rv hooked up to it and it was great to see the 139xlr live again keep up the good work
I used to swap out the coils with random ones to see what other frequencies I could pick up

i got one of thiese kits mine is an am and fm kit together switch a few jumper wires for fm from am but it was fun to assemble
