@Sakkura1 "I'd try it but I like my speakers too much for that."
Put saran wrap over them. Or a bigger piece of clear plastic.

@Sakkura1 I figured I was just watching something more akin to Cymatics, where regular, non-ferromagnetic dust is placed on a speaker membrane and made to form shapes by differing the frequency such as in this clip /watch?v=vFRtjZ3NrqM ...........Though after watching this one again, I think you may be right...the dust may in fact be, being moved by the magnetic field, as the purely audio produced movement doesn't seem to show any rotation. Still Y would the magnetism cause rotation? Hmmm

@frankensteinmoneymac Electric and magnetic are two sides of the same coin. Speakers are made of a membrane which an electromagnet moves back and forth, converting an alternating electric signal into a series of pressure waves in air - ie. sound. If you put magnetic powder on such a membrane I suppose both the movement and the magnetism could affect how the powder moves. I'd try it but I like my speakers too much for that.

Very cool.....but why is it Magnetic? or for that matter Electric, as in when you call it electro-acoustic ? I hear the loud noise.....is this just the noise doing this? I've seen similar such things with sound causing shapes, and forms to arise in similiar experiments...but if thats all it is, then what is the Electromagnetic angle U R refering too?

request: this clip looped a few times to make it longer.

it lives cant you see it has sole

If you look very closely...you can see perfection.
