  • There is not a shred of evidence to support the claims that Lowman and Baker make. Have you read the CWRIC report!! The beaureaucrats ignored evidence that the JA community weee not planning to make attacks on the U.S and in any case they knew after Midway that the J did not have a hope in hell of invading the mainland!!

  • thank you.

  • Are you saying thankyou to me? I Love this topic and have just finished an honours thesis on the JA redress movement. I LOVE this topic!! Its good to see something on youtubeabout this topic. In fact I am surpised that there are people like maryvictoriawho believe that nonsense about the internmentperiod being good for the JA community!

  • Yes I was saying thank you to you. *nods * I COMPLETELY agree - but then, people still believe that nothing happened to the Jews too. Its sad and slightly disgusting, but then, thats how life goes, ne? Wow... an honours thesis... ^_^ Im just a lill ol' HS student that did this for her final AP US History proj. last year - but Im glad people study this - so maybe there will be less of people like maryvictoria, ne?

  • Too bad the innocent many had to suffer for the perfidy of the few. Brilliant U.S. foresight prevented whole-sale slaughter such as happened in Phillipines. Check out "MAGIC: The Untold Story" by David D. Lowman for intel about espionage networks on the West Coast. JA were well treated in relocation centers. Thousands left for jobs/college in the interior states!

  • I can not agree with you on this subject. Mainly because I've done extensive research of that period. First of the JA were NOT treated well! Second, JA families lost everything. Third and most importantly - there was no plan of JA uprising, EVER! Government documents that we found gave us definate proof of that. The JA were just as horrified that Japan would do such a thing as any other American.

  • here's the thing..shame on the US for doing what they did but the US by nature is a nation of immigrants..I am a Japanese American from NY and I am witness to the fact that the more races there are, the more covert racism that exists...its inevitable..Japan is over 90% Japanese by heritage, the problem doesnt exist there...US is extreme in many ways but its hard to judge decisions that occur under extreme circumstances. It was the Japanese in 1945, the Irish and Italians before that, blacks etc

  • One sided and misleading.

  • great vid- very informative

  • Was there a bill introduced in congress ?

What was its number/ Please share it with us. What is "fairly strong"?

  • There was a large organized espionage

organization working for Japan that was concentrated on our West coast. if you don't believe it you are just playing naive. The evidence to support Lowman's book

is included in the book. Magic was the info gleaned from intercepted and decoded radio traffic sent to Tokyo and back. It is also available in a 8 Vol. set published by u.s. govt. davis library at

    UNC has a set.

  • Much of the information in this video is false inaccurate or slanted. It is clearly anti U.S. For example it is stated that 2/3 were U.S. citizens. While it is known that 43000 were citizens of Japan. Citizens of

Japan were enemy aliens and enemy aliens were interned or relocated by all countries at war Canada , Mexico, England and Japan did the same. It was allowed by international law and required by the geneva convention for their protection. Also our west coast was infested

    with spies.

  • Awesome choice of music!

Whats the track name and composer?

put em up, PUT EM UP!!!

    Fu@king great video too!

  • A Japanese American man says, "had other Americans had courage to speak out.."(against human injustice),he says Rememberance Day and this Dialogue about violations of human rights would be unnecessary today.I agree about apologizing, but also question how many of the Japanese Americans kept quiet about or justified Japanese invasions, colonialism, and slavery in rest of Asia for half a century before WWII? Are they doing enough today about Japanese Government's Whitewashing of History?
