Initial testing of the 90 degree crank layout in a road bike RS500GP has gone exceptionally well. My GOODNESS, I could weep. She goes like a rocket. And Wayne is absolutely delighted that she is totally vibe-free. Smooth as triple-whipped cream.

  • With a wet weight of 110 Kg and generating 112HP - way eclipsing the power of a 250 GP bike and with way more mid range torque, would a ZX10R stay ahead of one? Not a chance.

And on a track, the RS500GP will destroy GSX-R1000s, R1s et al with its much faster corner speed and superior power/weight ratio.

It will outbrake them. It will out-accelerate them. It will out-corner them. It will lap the 1000cc false-stroke 'Stuporbikes' and make them all look like silly back markers.

  • its a 2 stroke, blow ya 4 stroke out ya ass, lighter more power to weight, less moving parts, Power band, no linear build up of power, sounds like a gp bike, not a car. i'm all for it :) go TSS i want one. r1s are nice but i know what i prefer

  • @3L3CTR0static 4 Cyl 500's still can produce a slightly linear curve in power, anyway, the only reason people buy a 500 2 stroke is to shit themselves every single time they open the throttle, whats the point if its predictable

  • @twostrokeshop don't forgett 2-stroke engines with that much power with such little weight is hard to drive due to the way the engine delivers it's power. For a good reason it's called the big bang because the power usually kicks in in a moment, it's not a regular curve. So it might be faster in any way but you also have the balls to drive it to it's limits!

  • @bonebreaker27

You're dreaming. A 2 stroke will out accelerate AND out handle a comparable 4 stroke... by a mile. More power. Less weight. Better handling. Where you get in trouble is you have to know how to ride it. The torque curves are different and you don't lug them the way you might on a big cc 4 stroke.

  • there is no comparison with a 2 stroke unless if its a 2 stroke too....the 2 strokes are only for one reason ... acceleration and nothing else but this awesome acceleration is too expensive and too dangerous ..

  • @twostrokeshop have you thought of going overkill with an inline 4 two stroke 1000 yet? a 200-240bhp showroom/track bike would be a good selling point for what you guys are capable of. actually this already is! im just saying that because i would love to see a bike like that built.

  • I want to see a video of the 180 degree layout!!

  • Sounds very much like a Banshee engine, even looks it.

  • what is that an aprilia ????

  • Two stroke forever!!!!
