Atheism is the belief that the existence of a higher being cannot be proven. It does not rely on the existence of theism; this is a completely fallacious use of logic. According to your reasoning, the denouncement of the existence of unicorns relies on the existence of unicorns; thus, unicorns exist. Nay, the THEORY of the existence of unicorns exists, just as the theory of the existence of God exists, the latter which cannot be proven, giving credence to atheism.
