  • Sandy bridge is so fast! 13" MBP 2.7GHz i7 turbo boost to 3.1GHz. Plays 1080p video fine. Only problem is integrated graphics - Intel HD 3000 graphics are bad

  • wow, windows/microsoft conferences are boring compared to the mac world... sorry for all of you out there that haven't been enlightened yet

  • @SonarWavePulse 6990 i sallready out soon will come 7k series :D

  • @Randomkaoz #LOL

  • @Anthony4378 ok little one run along now.........

  • @Randomkaoz Intel = #FAIL

  • @Anthony4378 ummm re-read what i said slowly so that you don't hurt yourself. I'm sorry for using big words like "almost" and "impossible" right next to each other. and like i said they run hot seeing how yours is at 46 and mine is at 36 - 43C 90% peak.

So yeah stamp a fail sticker on your forehead. Using a 3938 mark cpu that can't even stay under 35C is a shame, you obviously don't know how to shop.

  • @Randomkaoz My Phenom II X4 955 OC'd to 4.2 GHz doesnt go above 46C. #FAIL O.o

  • yeah AMDs are shitty. I can't keep up with how many users call me to fix their computers or replace their CPU after 3 years of use. AMDs can OC their asses off but they get so fucking hot, it's almost impossible to cool them down. Even when they are idle they are hot, which of course shortens the life of the processor. I don't think paying extra of a cpu that can OC is fair when you have older chips that just have the potential naturally.

  • So this new sandy bridge cpu does not need the extra cooling when overclocked?
