That puffer is at the time of its month

@ownage196 They are more likely to die from the stress that caused them to puff up than from the puffing. When the puff up voluntarily it causes them no harm.
-
@0chuckyfan998 They can inhale water or air.
-
@jimmy12889 They would only do that from severe stress which could endanger any fish. When they puff up voluntarily, it dose not hurt them at all. They will occasionally do it just to pass food such as crabs which are often covered with points and spines.
-
@berrypopsugarpaste That is a myth.
-
They will sometimes puff up to help pass large and difficult to pass bits of food such as crab parts which can be sharp and can get lodged. I have seen mine do this on occasion.

It does it because he's scared of you

WOW! It looked like it was gonna puke!
-
so..WHY DID IT PUFF UP?! is there a reason? or did it just do it out of nowhere?
-
It looks retarded
I'm quite certain this video is the reverse of a puffer depuffing. I have a pet porcupine puffer, looks like he is de puffing in reverse in this video rather than puffing up. They don't make that coughing sort of gesture when they puff up but do when they de puff because they expel water out in bursts.

@ProductEgo Interesting theory but I can guarantee this is genuine. As you can see the bubbles are floating up and the fish are swimming forward. If it was reversed the bubbles would be sinking and the fish would swim backwards.
