Beautiful live version of Undislosed Desires with BBC Orchestra.

Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon. Since its inception in 1994, Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, guitars, piano, keyboards, keytar), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals, keyboards, guitars, harmonica), and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion, synthesizers, backing vocals, sampling) have comprised the group.
Muse is known for its energetic and extravagant live performances, and its idea of perfectionism on stage, having played over 950 gigs in 47 countries and its fusion of many music genres.

Muse's primary genres are progressive rock, space rock, and alternative rock, but they also integrate parts of electronica, indie, rock opera, hard rock, and metal. As the bands primary influences they named Radiohead, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nina Simone, The Beach Boys, Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Queen, Depeche Mode, Blur, Manic Street Preachers, Rage Against the Machine, Jeff Buckley, Oasis, Jimi Hendrix, Supergrass, and The London Suede.
Queen guitarist Brian May has praised Muse's work, calling the band "extraordinary musicians" who "let their madness show through, always a good thing in an artist." In particular, Dominic Howard noted the influence of Queen on "United States of Eurasia."

Many Muse songs are recognizable by lead vocalist Matthew Bellamy's use of falsetto and vibrato. As a guitarist, Bellamy often utilizes arpeggio and pitch-shift effects to create a more "electric" sound, citing Jimi Hendrix and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello as influences for this method.

  • and how do you know muse is inspired by all these bands? did matt, dom and chris come up to you and said which bands they where inspired by? dickhead fuck off

  • Who would criticise this song? In my opinion it's a masterpiece, and anyone who slams it saying it's "not Muse" needs to have a long hard think about their opinions
