Below is a case study on the recruitment video LeapFrog Solutions produced for the Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing:

Challenge:
The Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing (HBSN) prepares nurses at the baccalaureate and masters levels to practice 21st century nursing in complex urban environments, and with complex patient populations. The School of Nursing faculty is staffed with recognized leaders, bringing clinical experience and up-to-date research and teaching methodologies directly into the classroom and every part of education. Its acclaimed undergraduate programs better prepare students to start on their way to a career in the exciting and rewarding world of nursing. Its internationally recognized graduate nursing program can prepare you for professional advancement, a career as a nurse practitioner, or many other possibilities. HBSN contacted LeapFrog Solutions (LFS) to assist them with their recruitment of undergraduate students, graduate students, and potential faculty. HBSN has all of the above accolades to advertize, but they were struggling with how to reach their potential candidates who are located all over the nation.

Solution:
LFS proposed to produce a recruitment video showcasing current students and faculty, as well as compiling some visual elements to give the recruit a more accurate feel for the culture and surroundings. LFS put together a script describing both audio, visual settings and transitions proposed by the LFS art director. Once these were approved, LFS worked on casting HBSN faculty and students for the scenes within the video. Due to cast schedules, the video was shot within one day interviewing over 16 HBSN members, as well as obtaining location shots of the campus and NY surroundings

Results:
The HBSN staff was so pleased with what was produced, during the review stages of the editing they requested that LFS package up the uncut video to show as a preview at their recruitment training event. Once the final video was produced, it was supplied to the HBSN team in a DVD format to supply to their recruiting team. LFS suggested that they put the video on flash drives attached to college branded lanyards. These flash drives could be handed out at college fairs and events. LFS also posted the video to YouTube to begin some viral advertising amongst prospective HBSN students and faculty. An unintentional result that transpired was team building. Working with the internal staff and students of HBSN to produce the video generated an enhanced pride in their school and solidified the pledge that HBSN is proud of their faculty and students.
