CPK is an enzyme released during severe muscle breakdown and/or brain or heart trauma. So if there are still elevated CPK levels, it sounds like she's not healing from the physical trauma of the early weeks and the sudden shift to constant activity. Maybe Dr. H was trying to make her stop being active long enough for her muscle tissues to recover.
