Build Africa - Build a School Campaign

Build Africa (formerly International Care and Relief) has its headquarters in Tunbridge Wells in the UK and is working in Uganda and Kenya to break the vicious circle of poverty in rural areas. They are attacking the grass roots by targetting education. They work with local communities to build new schools and encourage the local people to take over the ongoing running and development.

The video describes the lives of children who love to learn but often have to look after their parents who suffer from illness and, in particular, HIV and AIDS.

Build Africa asks for donations and assistance to help them but in an innovative manner. Via their web site at www.build-a-school.org donors can state what their contributions should be used for and they are then they are kept up to date with progress at the school of their choice.
