  • no feeling bro :( skill but no heart felt :(

  • too stiff ... and wimpy ..... where is the passion ?

  • Congratulations, you played it very well, almost better than Lisitsa! I wish I'd be good like you! I really love the way you play sforzatos: that's the way, I think, they are meant to be played.

  • A bit slow but I understand that this piece is technically difficult.. Try add a accellerando when you do those chromatic scale etc at the start and where ever else they are found throughout the piece (I don't know the name for them lol)

  • I think this is extremely impressive. Well done!

  • It's good to be able to play without the pedal, but sometimes it sounds a little dry. Get this beauty a little wet and you'll thank yourself.

  • He is a Viet lol.

You play pretty well, but adjust the pedaling

  • Wow awesome! I'm learning this too, and I'm looking around for different renditions of this (especially when there's the tempo drop, where to speed up and how much). I really like how your playing the fast chord section, very clear!

  • The recording is poor, it's true, but he's drawing too much attention to the technical difficulties of the piece. Compare with Rachmaninoff's own recording and you'll notice the difference, I think.

  • Or then recording is poor. Better mike would be good.

  • i played this when i was 15, and it was ridiculously difficult. you play it very well, definitely better than i did! i think it could've had a little more of the frantic desperation that goes with the story behind the piece, but it takes a heck of a lot of talent to play it this well, so great job!!

  • Wow! Your playing is so precise. Keep up the good work!

  • 0:04 armocis.. =)

    Ver well

  • Extremely impressive playing for a boy of 17, but does not really capture the spirit of this piece.

  • exact same for me, i do like it too though

  • OMG!!! I started looking at this piece once... You've so inspired me to try and learn it. What advice would you offer one attempting to learn it???

  • i am spoiled by Valentina Lisitsa, but i have to say i like it

  • wow melvin, can u basically play any instrument u want?

  • mechanical but impeccable. that takes skill :D

  • Very Impressive..Encore!!
