dude this is crazy

@BjjSmile yea but if ur opponent can feel u attempting to regain gaurd the arm goes there to stop the knee i do it all the time but i dont stay there long ill move if he moves i see this working on new white belts or tierd bluebelts gives an option and even if it dont work it cracks the door for other escapes!!

Thanks..hope to use it during my class.

hmm, seems like this is what i've been looking for to try and get out of the 'breadcutter' choke. we'll see this week. Thanks.

This move seems kinda retarded...

@jpjsej18 LOL..That's what I thought at first until I practiced it. It really works best during a Guard Pass attempt.

I'd have to agree with geobros, this seems a bit unrealistic, especially how your opponent's holding side control. No live opponent is going to hold side control just holding your arm. They're either gonna go head and arm control or twister side control

I use this more against a Guard Pass attempt before they settle in. I should have clarified a little more.

that wont work, usually the guy on top is giving a lot of pressure so you cant just sit up, may work if your already sitting though

It works best after your Opponent starts to attack from the side position, which causes them to lift the pressure...then push off the hips with shrimping. This also works against a guard pass attempt from your Opponent.
