One more thing, there is a new remake of this movie being produced now and to be released in 2012. Also, to answer the question of the orchestra/conductor...I don't know if the guy who posted this set it to the original soundtrack or another version, but the original from the movie was by the Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the conductor was Herbert Kagel.

@mrmac518 I know you can't answer this but, WHY do they insist on trying to recreate genius? It makes me ill every time they try and improve on the original. This is IT. OK, producers, directors, and actors. It doesn't get any better than this. This IS the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Ugh. I hate Hollywood.

@Cannibalizer13 Yes, the full plate armor was only used in the late Middle Ages indeed. Keep in mind, though, that "Excalibur" did not aim to be an historical (transition Late Antiquity - Early Middle Ages) approach to the Arthurian tales (which was tried for the 1st time with "King Arthur", in 2004), but instead reflects the perception of those tales in one of the authors who wrote about it: Thomas Mallory and his "Le Morte d'Arthur". And Mallory was a late medieval writer (15th century).

I LOVE this music and own a VHS of the movie Excalibur. Simply put, to me it is magic! I can't imagine a better version, but since I haven't seen it I don't know; It could be even better. I look forward to it. Definitely in my top 5 movies of all times. I don't care if anyone else likes it, as long as I can still watch and listen to it.
