probably, yes, but with some limitations. A dedicated Camcorder can do much more (in fact I do have Panasonic video camcorder GS180 which I rarely use). But when one is on the move like tour, it is cumbersome to have one still camera and one video camera. In such cases this can serve both the purposes. After all one is not going to take a video scene of 15 or 20 minutes in a stretch. This FZ28 (with limitation of 2 GB), short clips can be taken with full satisfaction.
