Interview: Hafiz Muhammed Saeed

Indian and Pakistani government officials planned to resume talks, which were have been on hold since the attacks on Mumbai in 2008, on February 25.

In an exclusive interview, Al Jazeera spoke to Hafiz Muhammed Saeed, the head of the Pakistani welfare organisation Jamaat-ud-Dawa, who has been accused of masterminding the three-day assault which left 166 people dead.

Hafiz rejects New Delhi's allegations and was cleared of any involvement by a court in Pakistan.

He spoke to Al Jazeera about the planned talks and whether he believes they can help improve India-Pakistan relations.

Although Saeed is a well known political figure in Pakistan, he rarely speaks publicly and asked Al Jazeera to disguise his face.
