I go crazy when dudes are that close to an engine on test!!
-
Does anyone have the plans for this engine?
I notice that Beck Technologies appears to be out of business.

am i the only one that thinks this thing had a good beaat when it first started up?

So you running propane in here? Could you make one that uses an oxy-acetylene hook up and no, or a very small, intake? Could run good and hot, but i suppose materials might start to melt? What did you use for yours? thin stainless steel?

I could make one that runs on ace - oxy but that would e a very very small pulse-jet. No engine of this size will likeliy run on acetelyne unless designed to do so; it's just to fast
I used 1mm stainless steel for this engine, 304.
If you want to see realy tiny engines running on acetylene, look for a youtube user called "LenapeFireTurtle"

well the capslock button is on the left. as for the engine: an air and fuel mixture ignits in the CC. hot air rushes out from the tailpipe and the intake. The tailpipe has less resistance to the gas so more air goes out of there. a vacuum is formed in the cc. fresh air and gas rush in from the intake. a fraction of a second later, a slug of hot air comes crashing down from the tailpipe wich compresses the air-fuel mixture and reignites it. rince repeat.

look up a guy on here called xjet. he has a vidio on here explaining exactly how a pulse jet works

If you want to know EXACTLY how a pulse-jet works you'd better hit the books and maths. My explanation was the abridged version. Bruce might know more about these engines than me but he either uses valved engines or a 70 year old lockwood design (for every show he's ever been on forever)
