Plot:
RISE OF THE LYCANS delves into the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires, known as Death Dealers, and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). I understand what you mean. The original Underworld Sonja had blonde hair which definitely didn't work for her character. But I'm sure that's something they just didn't prepare for. I don't think they expected this series to be as successful as it has been or were planning to make the prequel about Lucian and Sonja while producing the first movie. Otherwise, I'm sure they would have tried to use the same actresses. Nonetheless, it all still ties together very well. :)
