  • you can also install android on it..

  • iskate32 - I've installed Android on mine twice now, and both times I had the same reaction:

    1. Wow, this is great that they can do this!

    2. I really wish that it was more than a proof of concept. The wireless networking was a pain (I use WPA) and it was missing almost all functionality.

I hope they can improve it soon!

  • pbjsandwich101- If you are referring to the messenging client, it comes with one and there are several others out there, including Pidgin, which should do windows live. You can check it out at their website, just google them.

  • iMaflya- I got it from e-bay, but if I were you, I'd get it from buy daught com, I think they are 299 now.

  • Oh, there it goes.

  • is there an application that gives you windows live? or does it come already on the device?

  • I have 2 questions, Where did you get it from? And, do you know if there is a way to record video from the webcam?

    Nice review by the way.

  • The keyboard is good. I've used it to type decently long emails and to instant message with. While it does get to be a bit much after a while, it is nice (especially when compared to my n800 and an iTouch which only have on-screen keyboards). I have to admit that I find myself using the on-screen keyboard (both finger and stylus) about 25% of the time, but that's mostly because they are faster for tiny words and sometimes easier for strings with special characters (like passwords).

  • How's the keyboard?

  • As far as quality goes, it is great.

Also, because it's linux, you have choices of which applications to play your music with, and support for many formats. And it's also very easy to stream music with it, even from your own server.

  • 1. External speakers. I use my n810 for music around the house or in the office ALL of the time because it has external speakers. No need to hook it to something else, or put headphones in so I can't hear anything else.

    2. Linux. I can do so much more with the n810.

It's bigger and bulkier than an iPod touch, so it's harder to throw in my pocket or on an armband and use for working out, but again, it has external speakers.

Like the iPod touch, it has a large touch screen, which is nice.

  • zamrock20,

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. It depends on what you're looking for in a music player. I had to decide between an n810 and an iPod Touch, and I chose the n810 for a few reasons (cont...):

  • hey is it agood music player ?

  • I have an n800 as well. I like that the camera swivels, but you're right, it's only really useful with a couple of applications, and even those are limited to communications with other internet tablets.

  • I have the n800 which does what your N810 do, but.... I wish the camera works with something... skype or yahoo or anything...
