A fire alarm had been sounding at the Oregonian (newspaper) Building in Portland OR since about 4:30 am PDT. The Fire Department responded at about 7:00 am PDT, and the alarm was silenced about 10-15 minutes later.
Unfortunately the newspaper did not report on its own alarm, and I'll always call this type of alarm a fire alarm. Maybe that's why the fire department showed up instead of the sprinkler department.
