Aeris was all Cloud needed. Aeris' innocence helped to bring out some of Cloud's buried emotions to the surface and showed him what life is all about. When she's gone, all that's left are her memories and memories are a powerful reflective tool; that's why he's dewelling in the past, which Tifa can't understand...

Aerith and Cloud are the perfect couple ever. <3 Hell I even made them like each other in the original FFVII. <3 Aerith is my favourite female character. (Doesn't really like Tifa :/)

@DJZanark I know in the American version it's written as Aeris, but I was just letting you know it's a translation error.

I was the same way for a while. I couldn't stand how Aerith sounded in comparison with Aeris but now it's totally the other way for me. :)

@TheAshleyAlive I played the American Version which came out in 1997 and her name was Aeris. Although she might be more popularly known as Aerith in the East, she's known very well in the West by the name Aeris. I personally prefer Aeris over Aerith.

@DJZanark Actually, it is Aerith. There were a couple translation errors in the original FFVII. :) That's why it's always written and pronounced Aerith in all the new games.

It's because the "th" and the "s" characters in Japanese look very similar or something.
