The title pretty much tells it all. In this video I do my first burn test of my Vulcan Safety Chef Camp Stove that I bought on eBay. I don't have any of the Vulcan SA-Fuel cans so I'm using Sterno in one of my Lifesaver tins. I let the stove burn for ten minutes before I put it out. There was still some Sterno in the can.

  • Good vid man, you sound like whats his name on Rosanne Dan in a good way god Bless!!!!

  • Thanks. I've been told that I look like him too. LOL

  • Love the music! Is it Popcorn?

  • Yes it is. You know your music.

  • Can you take this stove apart for servicing and whatnot? If so do you think you could show the inner workings of the stove and do a boil test because it is a very interesting stove? Please

I think I've figured out how it works but I'm not completely sure!!!

    Very cool stove 5/5

  • No it's not made to come apart. It's all spot welded together. I was thinking of bidding on an old rusty one to take apart so we could see how it works inside. Looks like it's made to super heat the vapors from the fuel source.

I will be doing a boil test. This test surprised me in the amount of flames that came out of it.

  • Keep them good videos coming 5*****

  • Hot Butter Baby!

  • There are 4 tubes that; 1) hold the inner chamber suspended inside of the outer chamber and 2) bring heated air into the inner chamber for combustion.

I set one of those stoves aside somewhere, Ill have to look for it.

    Bill

  • That is really something, It gave me an idea for a wood burner, and alcohol burner. Great show and tell Hirmam!

  • That's too bad but I thinks it works similarly to a wood gas stove with a gas wick.

I can't wait to see the boil test it looks like a super powerful stove but the size is a bit troublesome unless you had a car when camping!!!
