WSPA has been working hard to help end one of the cruelest industries in the world -- bear farming in Asia. The bears are kept in tiny steel cages, unable to stand or move around. In order to obtain their gall bile for use in medicinal products and luxury goods, the animals are surgically mutilated and undergo torturous procedures on a regular basis. WSPA is campaigning to ensure that bear farming is brought to an end.

All for the sake of stupid superstitious belief that bear bile can cure illness. Unbelievable! Poor Asiatic black bears... no wonder listed as endangered...

@GUMMERUP well we have to cause thats how we survive.... so killing a chicken isnt a big deal to you ? just bears ? chickens are animals to and you know you eat it

when some genius make the idea that children` brains can treat something trivial, I believe that in Asia they would build farms for that.

so if there is alternatives to the bile derived from these bear why doesnt the chinese government invest in productions of these alternatives?
animal cruelty should not be allowed even if its for the "improvement" of human health.
the bile doesnt even cure anything, only help in liver disease eye sight among others.
