I'm glad I found this again. I came across it back in 2007. My music room was never quite this loaded but the music is real fun. I guess you know that the hair is a conversation piece.

I'm glad you responded because i watched your video and appreciated the sophistication and talent. The subject goes very deep and it's art in general. Re: music, what is the spectrum,, contemporary harmony for the status quo or dissonance for the sake of dissonance. I would say that if you look at a painting and you like it or it moves you then it worked for you from the artisits perspective. I love Bartok, The Stranglers and Shostakovitch, but I also get a charge when i hear Poker Face.

hey. i enjoyed this video (as you can imagine from looking at what i do, musically). its a real challenge to "escape" the cookie cutter though... the gear tends to lead us into a specific musical structure and its a challenge to break away from them and truly innovate. you've captured the essential components but try to go beyond that. as an exercise, play a lead over your beat this not in key. just try it. you'll find it will help you innovate your sound. there are other ways too...
