Hello again~ Sakura Sakura is an old Japanese folk song that I am very fond of. That is why I decided that hey, why not try and play it on piano? So I did. Obviously. ^^ I don't have sheets or anything, this is simply my own arrangement, played by ear ;) I hope you like it! Oh, and sorry for the quality, it's not the best... ^_^'

The picture I used is from Deviantart . com, although I believe it's originally from an anime :) Link to the deviant profile in the video.

I do NOT own the rights of this song, nor do I claim that I made it, I just wanted to try playing it ^^

Thanks for listening~!

  • u know what's weird. I have a Japanese chat app. I told this guy I love old traditional Japan. He says nobody listens to this anymore or write in old kanji like I do. I think foreigners have more interest in ancient Japan than the Japanese themselves. Basically he says this kind of thing is dying out. WOW I hope not. If that's the case then China has Japan beat on culture. If you notice there are more traditional Chinese music than Japanese on youtube. *sigh* what the hell?

  • @CrissySnow I suppose that's the way it is in many countries, sadly. Here in Norway too, there aren't that many who listen to traditional Norwegian folk music and stuff on a regular basis, or do traditional stuff. But I think it's hard for a culture to "die out", because no matter how few, there will always be some who are interested and makes an effort to keep it alive.

  • Beatiful, I love this !

  • @GukenDakota I'm happy you do ^^ Thank you!

  • I just want you to know that because I listened to this song I finished a poem that I started two years ago

  • @2wolfcry Really? I'm very happy you could finish it! : )

  • I personally think that the bad quality (wich is not as bad as it could be) suits the melody perfect. It makes it even more beautiful. It makes it sounds REALLY old and thats what I love about it. Thank you.

  • This reminds me of a slowed down version of the song that plays in the Bellsprout tower in Pokemon Gold/ SIlver.
