This video - part of the Larry Jordan series of Final Cut Pro X Training - larryjordan.biz/fcpx - provides a detailed overview to how to apply ratings and keywords to your clips, how to find clips once you've labeled them, and what to do if you change your mind after you've labeled something.

  • Question: when to use Favorite/Rejected, when to use a Keyword, when to use a Marker? Final Cut Pro X messes up the way I used to work so I would like to learn how everyone is using keywords.

    For example:

    - How do you make a subclip? With a keyword "Selection" or with the F key to favorite all or a portion of the clip?

    - If you find a nice quote in your footage, do you markt the moment it starts, do you range-select then keyword the quote, or do you insert a marker with the quote as title?
