  • The yellow beans are called mammoth. However, the purple variety of beans actually taste better and turn green when cooked. The garlic is just normal garlic bought from our local garden centre. This year I will put some straw mulch over it to give it some extra protection.

  • Yes, it has been an extremely good summer owing to it raining every day of the month in July.

Normally the frost starts beginning of October. It is not worth doing a late planting of any vegetable variety here in Poland as nothing can withstand the winter. The only crop we plant to overwinter is garlic.

  • Lovely garden and beautiful property! :) What kind of beans were those large ones you liked? And what variety of garlic do you overwinter?

  • Beautiful place you have there!!!

  • Looks like you had a good productive summer. When do you usually get your first frost?
