So, he never decided to pick up the phone and actually talk to Conan before all of this happened? What a liar.

i saw this, he is attempting damage control trying to pin the blame on nbc and in a subtle way, conan obrien by saying "it's just business".

@TheTrailerGal In his book "The War Over Late Night" Bill Carter said that NBC told Leno NOT to call O'Brien. They told him some of the vile things O'Brien had been saying to them about Leno over the years.

@polk4tds If he didn't accept that, NBC would have kept him off the air until September 2012. They would have had to pay him, but not his staff. 175 people would have lost their jobs. If NBC would have released him, so he could negotiate with another network - like they did for O'Brien - none of this would have happened. Leno asked to be released. NBC said "no". So it was either accept NBC's offer, be off TV for 2 years (with his staff out of work) or go to court.

Leno is a giant douche and you can only be this big of a douche if you never take fault on your actions and constantly see yourself as a victim of circumstances.
He's a clueless piece of shit and you can't fix people like that, they have a clear conscience no matter what shitty thing they do.

Good for Leno. I love Conan but he just wasn't funny on The Tonight Show and Leno is still at the top of his game and will get higher ratings.
People are acting like this is the first time people have been screwed in Hollywood. Conan should and will move to FOX and they will give him more freedom and he'll have a great show that we'll enjoy and Leno will get his Tonight Show back and entertain his audience.
In the end, this is for the best for everyone involved
By moving to a new time slot, or even coming back to host the Tonight Show, he still has to accept a new contract, he's not being forced to do anything. That is why so many comedians and people in entertainment are against Leno. If he cares at all about his reputation among his fellow entertainers, he'd just bow out and leave - THAT would turn everyone around who hates on him now. It's another dirty move, check out how he even nervously laughs off when referring to the Letterman/Carson fiasco
